Day 3 Depart for Home We saw To Kill a Mockingbird on this latest visit and The Rocky Horror Picture Show earlier this summer. You can see what’s on by visiting the Stratford Festival website. The Festival Theater is just a short walk from The Bruce, and we approached the doors just as the trumpets announced it was time to take our seats. If you’re visiting Stratford during festival season, then a show is an absolute must-do. The Stratford Shakespeare Festival is world-renouned, and theater lovers travel from all over each April through November. Perfect for grabbing something to go and then eating along the river. There are lots of cute restaurants, cafes, and ice cream shops along this strip. From there, we walked a few blocks down to the river and picked up sandwiches to go from York Street Kitchen. There’s also staff on-hand to answer any questions and make recommendations. I highly suggest you do the same to orient yourself, pick up a map, and peruse their brochures of Stratford and the surrounding area. Once we arrived, we stopped into the Stratford Tourism Alliance on Downie Street, right in the center of downtown.
